Not quite Spring

I bought this picture yesterday from a charity shop in a nearby market town. It's a signed framed print of an allotment scene in Autumn. Not exactly the appropriate time of year to buy something like this but I think its gorgeous & I love all the little details in the picture. It is quite a bit sun damaged & faded but I don't mind that.

It's in a modern silver frame with a dark blue mount which doesn't show it to its best potential. I'll look around for an old wood frame & re-mount it myself with a nice sky blue / turquoise colour card.  It's quite a big picture; 26" x 22" so buying a new frame would be expensive. Looks like I 'll be trawling the carboots soon.
I know it is officially Spring but its still not quite Spring here!
The salad leaves are still growing in the conservatory even though they should be outdoors hardening off now. There was another hard frost this morning, -3 C so it's not safe to put tender plants outdoors yet. The sun is shining now & already it has warmed up but the garden is about a month behind in terms of growth on where things were last year.

Can I play with them? PLEASE !
