The weather on Saturday was quite good so we decided to bite the bullet & get some veg planted. First the Big Guy planted 3 rows of onions - he's pretty organised as you can see from the pics!
Next job, the Potatoes !
Take your chitted potatoes & put into a trench that you have filled with well rotted manure
The Big Guy uses a half & half mix of our own compost (on the left) & farmyard manure (on the right)
Plant roughly a foot apart
Cover over with soil & make a ridge to protect them from the frost
Then put in a marker so you know where they are & what they are.
