Strange but True !
I met the Verger whilst I was taking photos, he told me a sad tale that actually had a happy ending. He was telling me about the amount of theft that happens in churches these days. He said that a Vicar in the Dales had come into his church one day to find the whole of the east window had been completely removed, presumably stolen during the night. 3 years later whilst on holiday in Hong Kong the vicar goes into a cafe for a drink and lo and behold there was his window! He reported it to the Police and the window was eventually returned back to its home in the Yorkshire Dales.
